Mrs. Carrie Ott serves as Immanuel's full-time interventionist, after first joining the Immanuel faculty in August 2022 as our 4th grade teacher and Special Education Coordinator. Her duties at Immanuel include coordinating schoolwide testing through FastBridge, working one-on-one or with small groups on specific learning goals, working in classrooms side by side with teachers to meet all students’ needs, and supporting students and families through the special education evaluation process with the public school district. Carrie is a 2011 graduate of Silver Lake College with a bachelor’s degree and education licensure for cross categorical special education. She previously taught special education students in grades 6-12 for 11 years in the Manitowoc Public School District, working with students with learning disabilities, autism, and intellectual disabilities. Carrie is also currently taking classes through Martin Luther College to attain her synod certification.
Carrie and her husband, Brandon, have been blessed with three sons: Jaymen, Blake, and Peyton, all of whom currently attend or attended Immanuel Lutheran School. Carrie has been an active volunteer at Immanuel for many years, coaching girls basketball and other sports and helping with our summer VBS, among other things. In her free time she enjoys gardening, canning, and reading. The Otts love to travel to state and national parks as a family and with friends.
