Mr. Morgan joined Immanuel in the fall of 2026 as our new Assistant Principal and 7th grade teacher, arriving with his family from Texas where he spent the previous ten years as a teacher, technology director, and athletic director at Divine Savior Academy.

Tyler graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn. in 2010 with his Bachelor of Science in Education degree, and earned his Master of Education in 2019 from Concordia University in Texas. Besides serving in Texas, he also spent five years as a teacher and athletic director at Word of Life Lutheran School in Milwaukee.

Tyler grew up in New Ulm, Minn. and is married to Mara (Nass), a Newtonburg native. They have three children: Audrey, Esther, and Caleb, who are all Immanuel students.

Mr. Morgan has many hobbies, with the foremost one being spending time with his family, and also cheering on the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Texas A&M. He also enjoys fixing up his new house, hunting/fishing, golfing, and perfecting the art of Texas BBQ. In addition, he says, "I enjoy coaching youth sports and have had the opportunity to coach many different teams and levels from grade school soccer all the way up to high school football, basketball, and baseball. I also had the privilege of serving as a member of the Church Council and as an Elder while serving in Texas."

Additionally, he says, "I am thrilled to join Immanuel Lutheran School and Church as a teacher and vice principal. It is an honor to become part of a Christ-centered community dedicated to faith, learning, and service. I look forward to building meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff while supporting the mission and ministry of Immanuel."

Please give a warm welcome to Mr. Morgan and his family!
