Principal's Message

Hearing and Believing
Wouldn’t it be awesome to have been able to hear Jesus preach in the synagogue? To see him stand before the crowd and perfectly deliver the message of God must have been incredible. Yet, we know that not all those present with Jesus believed him. Some decided they knew better. We think to ourselves, “How could they not believe. They had Christ right there in front of them.”

Then we look at ourselves. We have Jesus speaking to us through the Bible. Every day we have the opportunity to study and meditate on His Word. Still, we often fail to listen to him. We hear what he has to say to us on Sunday morning, but we go on with our week and seem to have forgotten all we learned.

At the end of this month the eighth graders of our day school will graduate. They have spent many hours studying and learning God’s Word. Now they move on to the next level of education. It will be very important that they continue to hear the Word that they may be reminded of what Jesus tells them. We pray God give them the wisdom and faith to remain in him throughout their lives.

May all of us remember that we can hear Jesus speak to us anytime we would like. Then, may we believe what he tells us and show that faith in all we do here on earth.

Upcoming Events

May 16th School Registration
The date for registration for the 2013-2014 school year will be Thursday, May 16th. The times will be 7:45-8:15 AM, 2:45-3:15 PM and 7:15-8:00 PM. It will take place in the front office area of the school building.

May 21st Awards Night
It is always rewarding to look back on a school year and see how the Lord has given so greatly to our students in the areas of music, athletics, and academics. On Tuesday, May 21st we will acknowledge God’s grace as we show our appreciation to our students for their hard work throughout the year.

May 30th School Cleaning
On this day the students will help in the thorough cleaning of the school. The students will be split into teams and assigned certain areas of the school to clean in the morning. We will then have a hot lunch cookout. In the afternoon we will have games for the teams. This has proven to be a very worthwhile event as the students learn how much work it takes to keep up our facilities. As well, it is a lot of fun for the students and teachers alike.

May 30th Graduation and Closing Service
At 6:30pm on May 30th we will conclude the 2012 - 2013 school year just as we started it – with a service of praise to the Lord. This will also be our Kindergarten and 8th Grade graduation service. Parents, family, and friends are invited to attend. The students will return to their classrooms after the service and receive their report cards. Parents, please pick up your children at the classrooms.
